This is the 2023 head-to-head backpack test. It is a no-nonsense backpack showdown! In this test, I dive straight into the world of backpacks, putting them to the test, and providing you with the essential details you need to choose the right one for your adventures. No frills, no fuss—just the facts about the top contenders and the rigorous tests they endured. Let's get right to it.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: I understand that the first test done was a few years ago. If a backpack is not in this test, but was in the test conducted a few years ago, the companies were reached out to and chose not to participate. For a new pack to test, Alaska Guide Creations was reached out to and chose not to participate. If there is a different pack that you would like to see in a future test that is not listed and was not in the previous test, please bring it to my attention.

3. Shooting With Pack On: Precision matters, can these packs keep you steady?
4. Waterproof Evaluation: Will your gear stay dry when the rain pours?
5. Load Capacity: Who can carry it all without breaking a sweat?
