I just returned from NM hunting with a voucher tag.

FLAT country where we saw Antelope. WINDY!

540 yards holding into the wind two feet

68.1 yards from a tall patch of sage
Double lung - went less than 50 yards
Fun stalk into drainage, he was bedded with group of does/fawns.

That’s awesome. I’ll be headed to Wyoming for rifle season in a few weeks. Hope to have the same luck as it will be my first western hunt.

Yea he has decent mass for sure. I was pretty happy with his look once he was on the ground. There is character that the pics don't really show.

He sure has some crazy hook as well! I have a hard time judging bucks like that on the hoof. Clearly you made the right decision! Congrats on a stud of a buck!

I’ll be the first one to post a doe. Funnest big game hunt I’ve ever been on.

I still have another doe tag to fill in Wyoming. Took this one last week with the 22 Creedmoor at 430 yards with an 88 gr ELDM.

Drew an unexpected tag here in Oregon.
Spent 6 days scouting but just couldn’t turn up any giants. This buck was one of the best ones I found, and I saw him in the same valley for over a month during scouting trips.
After some side by sides pushed them out opening morning, I made a Hail Mary attempt to go after them using a Montana Red Cow Decoy. Ended up getting within 361 yards and made one kneeling shot with my new 7PRC.
Only a little over 14” tall, but good mass.

That’s a great buck! I like how he carries the mass above his prongs. Beautiful cape too! Congrats!

Here's my 2023 buck. 14 1/8" horns, a little spindley and narrow - 2 5/8" between the tips. Green scored 70 3/4. Happy to get him, noon on second to last day of the season. From a blind on a waterhole - 30 yards.
