2023 ANTELOPE MEAT POLE

Decided to have mine done with beetles and really like how it turned out. This is the first euro that I haven’t done myself. Think I’ll get a nice wood plaque for him.

Figured I get this thread started for the season.

August 6
68.1 yards from a tall patch of sage
Double lung - went less than 50 yards
Fun stalk into drainage, he was bedded with group of does/fawns.

More info... the bullet is a .308 cal 168 grn nosler Accubond Long Range. varget powder, 2750 fps .
200 yards quartering to, bullet passed through inside of shoulder and was found under the hide on the opposite hip. It retained 120 grns.

Super fun hunt had the 4 year old nephew with me and the wife. 589 yards and that’s all she wrote. Found this buck two days before opener. Watched him for those two days not a better buck that I could turn up. Opening morning made the play.
