I handed over Whitetail Management strategies on our farm to my 15-year-old son Thomas.
He selected and set stand locations, set and monitored and cameras, hunted 100% solo and took the field care tasks on solo. He elected to harvest what he considered to be a cull to let the better buck on our property grow a couple more years and pass on its genetics.
For frame of reference, I’m submitting a few pics. One pic of Thomas with the deer he culled, one of him filling out the tag, one of the pack out and another trail cam pic of the deer which he let walk prior to culling the one he took.
Full disclosure, he’s been hunting WT since he was 6 and has a couple B&C bucks to his credit already which were taken on our farm.
