First elk, all the good stuff public land, solo (except for the pack out and quartering), piled up within 30 yards. Southern Oregon August 5th right after the thermals switched before sunset so I could sneak in. 80 yard shot, from a 28 Nosler 175 grain bullets. Extremely grateful for my first elk and a Roosevelt at that. Looking forward to what is posted on this thread.

Second day of season, caught this ol boy on a travel corridor between 2 herds. 49 yds, hit a bit back, liver, 1 lung. Recovered the next morning. Cutting up now and so far very minimal meat loss, thankfully.

Yesterday evening right at sunset. Took two of us til 530 this morning to get it all out. Just about 10 hours total. 37 degrees last night so that was perfect. 38 yards while raking a tree. Iron will 100gr solid, zipped right through. He walked 20 yards and fell over.

NM public land. Called to 18 yds by my brother on our first afternoon. 125gr slick trick mag, 90 yds recovery. Died 100 yds off of an open road for my easiest ever pack out.

UT Limited entry, shot him Saturday morning as he pushed his cows up the hill to bed. Solo hunt and first branch antler bull. Shot him with a G5 dead meat at 15 yards, went 50 yards and piled up.

Heck of a bull! Congrats. Guessing 380" gross. Might be big bull of the year on here.
