I like the photos, and all the different rifles.

I remember calling in coyotes when I was in Jr high. All I had was a .22, you had to get em close, and some of them still ran off.

Took me till I was a sophomore to save up for a Ruger 22-250.

I didn't have to get them close, and they no longer ran off.

The technology we have today is unbelievable.


And the coyotes can still outsmart you.

Got out Tonight with a few friends, even though it was very foggy we still managed to get these 2 and called in another 3 but didn't get any shots as we were trying to get an 8 year old his 1st Coyote.

I live on the east coast in a area where every jack donkey with a rifle drive around in there truck with a caller blaring out the window, somehow expecting to call in a coyote. Because of this, it’s near impossible to get a coyote to come to a call. The only time I’ve been able to shoot a coyote is by getting the drop on one while out hunting other game.

These were both shot this year. The first one with a 221 fireball while groundhog hunting. The second was with my .280 while filling damage permits.

Had never shot a coyote until just the other day. Unfortunately all I had available was a .308 I’m guessing they don’t do half off for coyote hides, because that’s all that was left. Anyways, had a lot of fun and hopefully will be back mid week. No calling, just sitting up in the bluffs and glassing. Saw 9 that day.

Sorry, not 2020, but got my first one last year. Shot one before that, but didn't recover.
This was a double-team effort. She came in hugging the rock and hill we were sitting up on. My shot must have got deflected off intended target on her because there was a branch partly obscurring her body. Figure it was because of the close proximity and probably didn't remember to hold the aim a little higher than usual to compensate for line of sight being higher at close range.

The bullet deflected and hit her basically at base of spine. Was a DRT Controlled Chaos round in .223, and frankly I'm not impressed with the performance. A shallow splash-wound. Makes her roll-over on the ground, she gets right back up and then she's headed right directly my direction (was likely going to hug the base of this hill we were on... I work the bolt and am tracking in on her in the scope when BOOM!.... the hunting partner flat laid her out with his 12ga. She want a** over end and that was all she wrote. It was 8am and already 90F down by Salton Sea.
