D62D0AE8-9274-4801-8AFE-FF0B0403F8BA.pngIt’s been a tough waterfowl season in Ohio this year. Water levels have been up for the past few weeks and that has made it easier for others to access those “hidden” spots the birds like so much. I’ve really had to work for them this year, but that makes it all the more satisfying even if it is frustrating at times! Duck season goes for a couple more weeks then it will be on to late season goose.

Are those Huns on the tailgate? Never shot one but hear they are tasty. Good looking dog too.

I'm up to 16 roosters I've shot out of my grove and on Saturday I was able to get this beauty. Just under a 25" tail (just measuring the feather not the quill) and 42 marks.

I hunted with a buddy a couple of days last week. It took both of us all day to kill these three. In addition to the three, I lost a bird that would have given me a limit and we both missed one bird. We hunted one other morning and he killed one rooster.

I really wanted to pull off a couple of days this weekend. I even packed and loaded up the truck. I had to cancel at the last minute.IMG950032.jpg

Had some variety this weekend. Finally knocked a couple Chukar down, last week hiked up to 10k ft and got our butts kicked, saw a lot 🙂 these were at lower elevation and flat ground. Sometimes I feel like picking up a 12ga auto, 😐

Haven't got out too much. Did have one successful quail hunt last month. Some of you have been putting in work, nice job!
