There's nothing free at the Expo. It's $20/ day but you can get half price coupons at Cabelas, Les Schwab and a bunch of other places. SFW isn't gonna miss out on money from admission fees. Not sure who you spoke with, but to get on the show floor you gotta pay.Where are you guys getting the $20 admission fee information? I called to inquire about cost of attendance and was told it was free unless you wanted to reserve one of the special events.
That's no joke. Saw more Washington and Wisconsin folks than Idahoans this year. I just avoid hunting southern Idaho because of Utah.Kind of like half of Washington, Oregon and Utah folks who don't just want to hunt spike elk are in our mountains all fall...

Haha calm down man. There's good folks everywhere and bad folks everywhere. My comment is based on the fact that more out of state hunters were in the units I hunt than in state hunters, and agreeing with other folks who saw this too. I am not saying they are "our animals." What I am saying is that the opportunity of law abiding Idahoans is being impacted to a degree, especially in our controlled hunt units. This is necessary however to ensure IDFG has the necessary funding to operate.Yep. And I was one of them up there in Idaho. I'm originally from WI and now life in UT...so you probably saw my UT plate. Do I get an extra point for that? Oh yeah, I also shot one of "your" bulls. 3 points for me. Sorry about that.
Ironically, I did see a lot of Idaho plates. They were ALL the entitled guys illegally riding in their ATV's and violating the OHV hunting rules!! Here's a group of them who rode in opening warning and screwed up the opening morning hunt for my son and I (who legally spike camped in per the rules).

As far as illegal OHV use goes, that is hardly an Idaho or Idahoan only problem. Blanket statement saying that Idahoans do this or that is invidious. It is perhaps more commonplace because we don't have the number of wardens necessary to adequately patrol our state's public lands. Sorry your hunt was impacted, but if you see illegal activity you are more than welcome to take a picture and send it to IDFG or one of the land management agencies. They can only enforce the law if people help them do so.
Good luck on your future hunts, and congratulations on your harvest this season.
