Took three weeks off of everything towards the end of Sept. to get ready for and bring home my wife and I's first child, Waylon, so I'm not too upset with taking time off

. Also ran the Tecumseh Challenge 50k at the end of October right when Tropical Storm Olga made her way into Indiana, so it rained constantly for the first 29 miles of the 31, lol. Good mental training in addition to the physical aspect. Finished that 50k in 7:25 and took third place in my age group (35-39).
Current stats against my Jan 1 goals:
1500 miles
ran 1,743 YTD
100K elevation gain
116,693 ft elevation (63,576 outside/53,117 treadmill)
A 50k Ultra finish
Finished OPSF 50k in March in 7hr 39min
A 50 Mile Ultra finish
DQ'd for time at Dances With Dirt Gnaw Bone 50m at mile 40
A finish at this years Jackson County 50/50 in the 50 mile division Race isn't until Nov 30th
24lbs of weight loss, down to 185
Still floating between 190 and 195
And finally, 15 pullups in a set. Started hitting this hard this month, but no real gain yet
Sticking with my training schedule I will definitley beat 2000 miles ran this year, which if you had told me 5 years ago I would run 2000 miles in a year I wouldve laughed in your face. Running has become such a huge part of not only my physical health, but my mental health and overall happiness too. I love my wife and son, and don't know what i would do without them, but those 1-3 hours alone give me so much time to think, unwind, and unpack the day/week/month.
Stick with it everyone!
