@Ryan Avery how would you say the Brooks compares to the good ol Cirrus? Not a huge fan of hoods, but I do like the Cirrus.

I have never owned a Cirrus. After wearing the Brooks more It's not as warm as the Uncompahgre but its close and 10oz lighter. It feels like it blocks the wind better too. I love that is 30D, I have not lost a feather yet.

Can anyone comment on sizing to use the Brooks under a softshell? I know it's not the typical layering but since I'm in the market for a new softshell I'd like to consider the possibility.

I can answer that. Works pretty well. I used it under the Catalyst for coyote hunting this year and it was a little bulgy looking, but it worked awesome. The Catalyst has more tapered sleeves than other soft shells I’ve ran so I have no doubt it’ll work good under any jacket.

I don’t miss the fit of the Chama. The Kiln is pretty dang comparable with a better fit and material that holds its shape better.

Haha could be! It is a longer and slimmer fit. The. Chama was kinda boxy shaped and the Kiln (along with all the new pieces) has a more fitted style to them. Not tight fitting but a better fit in my opinion

Yep! Both in a medium for me. I would say the chest area fit is the same or close. The mid section and length is what they have updated.
