Congratulations everyone! I'm hoping to contribute shortly, just haven't put in the time yet this spring. This whole college thing is messing up my hunting schedule!
Pretty stoked on this bird. Chased him last year too, he is decoy shy and somewhat call shy. His only gobble was when he was about 80 yards and closing. 43 yd shot.
21 lbs, 1.25" spurs, 11.25" beard. My biggest ever.
This bike is primarily meant to be for bikepacking but was built with local trail riding, commuting, and mostly bird hunting in mind. Frame is a Surly Ogre. It accommodates 27.5 plus tires (I went with 3 inch tires on a 50mm rim) and comes loaded with places to mount things. I run a Surly Nice Rack on the back with the Cogburn Gear Carrier attached to it. It will carry a rifle, shotgun, bow, or rod. The front has a large Wald basket mounted to the Surly 8 pack rack. The frame bag is a revelate and holds quite a bit of random supplies and on this trip, water. I've got two Blackburn cargo cages for water or dry bags, an Oveja Negra Bootlegger for storage on the fork and an Oveja Negra Chuckbucket on the bars. I usually keep GPS, phone, maps, calls in the chuckbucket for access. Definitely great for turkey and grouse hunting.
Winchester Ranger 120, 30" barrel with the winchoke tubes, I can't remember when I got it but it was a long time ago, pretty sure I will never change it out!
