My PA buck. Hiked in 2 miles on public and killed it 40 yards from the private boundary.

View attachment 82699I killed this buck in the black hills of south dakota on public land on 11-16 he was laying next to a doe and when he saw me he stood up instead of running he just looked at the doe that was a mistake i shot him freehand at 118 yards the locals said he was a very respectable buck for the area i was glad to take him

I asked Jaci what she wanted for her birthday,she said the big buck.
I have trail cam pics of this guy all summer long up until August 23 then he disappeared. He just happened to slip up and walk by on the evening of her birthdy.
He did break off his droptine but he’s still a brute, when he walked by he came from a trail Jaci could see before me and she about jumped out of her chair. She made a perfect shot @ 26 yards and he went about 20 yards

After finding my target muley with a broken main beam 3 days before season ended I decided to head to the river and look for one of the 3 hitlist whitetails I have trail cam pics of. I have 4 years of trail camera pictures of this buck and until the morning I shot him had never seen him in person. I spotted a big bodied deer pushing a doe through a patch of timber so I made a dash for a pinch point in the timber where I thought they would go. I beat them by 30 seconds and he pushed her through an opening at 40 yards. I saw the turned in main beams and sent a 200 gr LRX his way.

My first Coues Whitetail hunt started with horrible wind and snow. I stuck it out on my glassing point searching for the bucks I had watched in the days scouting with no luck. Finally the weather broke on Saturday morning and I was able to take a very old solid buck!
