I shoot the 2015 X7 and the 2016 Xception. BIG fan of Xpedition and what they are doing. The new Xplorer SS looks intriguing. Looks like the Xception stays the same and the Xcentric 7 is updated and called the Xcursion 7. Be fun to shoot some of these new ones and see how they feel. Anyone else a fan of Xpedition here?

Yep, if I wasn't still in love with my xring 6 the Denali would be at the top of my list.

That's arguably the best bow lineup in the industry, there is a bow for everyone.

I started shooting an Xpedition in August. So far... 3 arrows, 3 deer. The best shooting bow I've ever had. Ed F

Line up looks good, only complaint I have is the atr. That one thing gets more pro's and con's than any other part of their bows. I'm not concerned about the atr though because I just finished testing my cable slide conversion on my x6, works like a charm.

OK... what's the cable slide conversion? The only complaint that I have is that they don't have a two piece quiver mount, for those of us who prefer a two piece quiver. I'm shooting the 2016 Perfexion. Ed F

I heard about the ATR stuff after I bought my 2015 Xcentric 7. So I've been keeping an eye on things.... I am no expert archer or bowhunter, but I do shoot quite a few arrows. My garage target may only be 10yds, but the wear on the bow is the same as 110yds. So far no issues on either bow. I think they ironed it out for bows 2015+. At least that has been my limited experience (sample of two bows).

Ha ha my own design, a diy. Some guy's have had no problems with the atr but I'm one of those who have had problems. When I first got my x6 the cables were showing wear right from the get go also the string and cable length's were way out of whack so dump them and made a new set, I make my own strings. Rather than taking any chances on wear I served up the cables. hard to believe but the atr wore threw the serving. After seeing that xpedition was going to continue using the atr I started working on a cable slide conversion. Right now it's just a cable slide but ultmently I.m going to one of the new pse roller slides.

You should have sent the atr in. They would have replaced it with an updated one. They had a Bad run of them in early 2015. I'm not a huge fan of it either, but it doesn't wear anymore than a normal cable slide would.

I don't believe Hoyt is changing anything about the carbon bows, as so few actually went out to customers, but suppose to be a new aluminum bow.

These bows all look sweet, definitely something for everyone (especially me with my 26.5 inch draw!). Nice that they're offering the same bows with different cam options. I'd love to get my hands on one to shoot!

I'll have to shoot the Excursion 6 and Explorer SS. If it wasn't for my Perfexion the Denali would be at the top of my list, but being a 28.5" draw I'd be at the bottom setting of the XS+ cam. I've never had good luck in getting the most out of a bow in that situation.

My bow is a late 2015 alreay has updated atr. My atr shows zero wear but sure ate up cables. Over on AT their's been a lot of discussion about the atr, guy's with new atr's sent to them from xpedition and the new ones still ate cables. The atr's have been probmatic from the beginning just as the eye glides on the prime bows. Prime's awnser to the problem was to go to a roller guide. Why xpedition continues to push the atr when a roller guard such as pse has went to, would be a simple solution puzzles me.

We should have our initial order in in a few weeks. I'll be interested to see if they altered the draw cycle at all on the newer cam and if it feels comparable throughout all models.

As far as the ATR goes I haven't seen any of them that we have sold eat up cables. Our demos have had thousands of shots through them with no issues. I can see where it could be an issue but probably not all that common.
