So, i'm guessing you didn't click on the leftover box? It's always good to do that just in case you don't draw. That way if you fail in the draw you get the leftover list in the mail long before August. You get to bid on all the leftovers with just the guys who failed too and click on the box. It's another draw. The choice for tags is much better than waiting until Aug when what's left of the list is offered to the public.

You would be guessing right. Dumb decision on my part. I drew the tag last year and was a little too confident that I'd draw it again I suppose. Lesson learned.

Yeah, choosing the leftover list doesn't cost you anything. If you don't want anything on the list you can still get a refund.

I also didn't click the leftover option and it cost me big time. I've never hunted out west before, and no matter what I'm mule deer hunting (archery hunt) somewhere this fall. I got to that point of the application (leftover option) and I didn't understand how it worked and I mistakenly thought I was a shoe-in for my 4th option so I didn't click it. Now I got nothing and will be scouring Wyoming's leftovers in July and if that doesn't work out I'll be looking for CO's in August. I guess it was a good lesson.

You still have a shot at the leftover list, but the good stuff will already be picked over by those who clicked the box. What's left will be available Aug 5th. It's a 1st come 1st served type deal.
