The link posted above has data which reflects the overall reliability of the Ford F series as poor. As they say, YMMV.

A little hard to read on my phone, but those charts seem to show reliability of 2004-2006 models as just below average, with models after that as ranging from good to excellent.

Had a ‘13 F150 XLT with a 5.0. Got it @ 47k mi. and drove it till I hit a deer and totaled it at 126k. Best truck I’ve owned. Never a problem.

I own a 2014 w/3.5 eco boost. (King Ranch) I love it. Bought it w/39k. It has 124K. Tons of power for my needs. (Pull a small camper). Service. Previous poster got screwed. Ford recommends replacing coil packs ~100K. I replaced plugs and packs myself with no specialty tools. I think it was around $40 per hole. Only "emergent" issue I had was an intermittent miss. Eventually threw a code and it was an issue with electronic throttle body.

The truck handles like a dream. Mileage is better than my old 5.0. But not great. Around 18 highway Around 15.5 city.

This guy makes some good ford videos. Maybe you’ll get a good eco boost, maybe you won’t. But at least get a good inspection

I'm on my third F150, all with 3.5 Ecoboost. Each one went 250k with not major issues. .y last one developed a shimmy that could.never be fixed, so they gave me a deal on it. I pull my 28ft bunkhouse can.ler with no issues. I can't imagine I'll have anything other than a f150.

Thanks for sharing the videos. Interesting that truck is running fine and just making a noise on startup and somehow needs 4500 in repair. Seems like you could get a basic service every 6 months and everything would be fine.

I bought a 2014 new, drove it everywhere for 7 years, sold it this year. Best truck I've owned so far. No repairs other than brakes, a battery, and one ball joint. 3.5 EB, Supercrew 6.5' bed. Smooth, quiet, tons of power. Pulled a 27' 5th wheel with it from day one. Only sold because the CPA said it was fully depreciated, bought a new '21 F250 to try out the new 7.3 V8. 2 (Large).jpg
