I see Ryan pierce post lots with the 22” 300 NMI. How about a 20”? I saw in a thread through digging the guys at unknown munitions are able to run the 215 Berger at 3070 in a 20” rum. It is obviously running very hot. I’d like to assume the 300 NMI can achieve that if it were a 20” configuration. I bout the deadair nomax 33 to go with it so a 9” can. My criteria is a 215 Berger at least achieving 3000 fps

Then I’d go with a 26” or 28” barrel and try to hit 3200

ELR competitions and short barrels are kind of like chocolate chip cookies and orange juice.
You easily get 3k from the 22 running mild. Just curious if you can get it from 20 pushing hard

245 hybrids. 2820fps. Probably too much gun for anybody on rokslide where most guys sit down to pee.
Should be a 223 at max. That’s solid. I was talking to a fella on long range hunting and he’s getting almost 2900 out of a 22” 30 nosler

I have a 300 NMI 22 inches, I’m getting 2860 with 230s not pushing it hard, and around 2830 with N570 pushing it a little harder.
I love it, shoots bugholes.
I like it so much I have a 300 norma in 20 inches coming soon. Put a TBAC and it’s an amazing gun. Go for it!!
For reference, my 26 inch 300 NM pushes a 2015 at 3060 fps with H1000, and around 3200 with N570
