Seekins and Gunwerks have a 22”. Think the 22” suppressed makes more sense then the 20”Anyone put together a 20” barrel 28 nosler? Thinkin about doing one to run suppressed
You're not likely to find anyone with 20'' 28 Nosler experience. Don't let it deter you if you want a short 7mm with as much speed as possible, just be aware that many suppressors wont handle a 28 Nosler at that barrel length.Anyone put together a 20” barrel 28 nosler? It's an excellent choice if you want the most speed possible at a given barrel length. A 20'' 28 Nosler with 195's will be faster than a 30'' 7-08 with 140's and everyone always talks about how great the 7-08 is.Seems like a poor choice for a short bbl.
Like posted at bottom. Would like to get the most out of the 7 without packing a meter of barrel and suppressor. Suppressor is 7” long so wanting to stay as short as possible. Was planning to do a 7mm Sherman max first but this idea rolled through my headWhy?
I say go for it, you'll be faster than a 26" 280 ai without a doubt.Anyone put together a 20” barrel 28 nosler? Thinkin about doing one to run suppressed

Sounds awesome. Do it and report back. Getting ready to chop my 7mm RM down to 20" for the same reason. It will be running an ultra 5 when hunting.
Don’t overlook the 7/300Win either. Excellent cartridge and components readily available.Wyatts
@wind gypsy don’t the 26 Nosler and 7STW both have slightly less case capacity than 300PRC?
And that 7-08 barrel will last 25x longer than that 20" 28Nos lolYou're not likely to find anyone with 20'' 28 Nosler experience. Don't let it deter you if you want a short 7mm with as much speed as possible, just be aware that many suppressors wont handle a 28 Nosler at that barrel length.

I agree, but that wasn't brought up as a requirement. 28 Nosler isn't easy on barrels at any length. And that 7-08 barrel will last 25x longer than that 20" 28Nos lol
