Currently shooting a 400 kinetic XT cut to 26.5 Carbon to carbon out of 73 lb 27" elite hunter with 100 gr tips.

Plan on upgrading to a 27" 80 lb elite synergy set to 85 lbs and have started messing with arrows a little...

Arrow 1:
Deep six fmj .330 with HIT D6 insert cut to 26.5 carbon to carbon and a 125 gr point.

Arrow 2:
Black eagle Deep Impact .250 with BE outserts cut to 26.5 carbon to carbon and either a 150 or 175 gr point.

I've shot the bow as my buddy jut got one so I know what I'm dealing with as far as draw weight. Just tossing around arrow possibilities to see if someone has experience with same or similar set up.

Might even shoot both arrows D6 fmj for deer and BE at elk.

The fmj 330s may be a little underspined for 85 lbs. Im shooting 82lbs but at 29" and the fmj 300's are on the verge of being underspined for me with a 100 grain point. If I were you I would look at the fmj 300's instead of the 330s for the fact that you have more leeway on manipulating point weight. Its something that I would like to play around with but cant do. I stick with the 300's though because it shoots great and i have about 18 of them. For reference the FMJ 300's finished with 100 grain points come in around 500 grains.

Anyone have any issues with Black Eagle deep impacts and durability. Seems like the 9.5 gpi for that stiff of a spine is kinda light.

Decided to go with the BE deep impacts. Cut 26.5 ctc with 3 fletch and the BE outsert at 42 gr and 175 gr point. Looking good so far out of the 73 lb hunter. Running about 260 fps and fly great. Hope they are stiff enough in a 80 lb bow...if not I'll be going to the GT kinetic kaos in a 200 spine. So far so good.
