Are there any lightweight options for a two man tent, that can utilize a stove, lightweight enough for backpacking, and high enough to fit two cots at base camp?

I have the standard Cabela’s cots, which are pretty night. I am trying to build up my backpacking equipment over the next two years but thought if I could get an option that would work for my standard car camping/backpacking it would make more sense.

Are the tut/Cimarron high enough to use cots?

I’ve used 2 cabelas outfitter “high” cots in a Tut. No room for a stove and there was a little room between the two cord to move in and out. Packs and gear went under each cot and you could sit on the edge, near the center pole, with ease. Laying down on the cots wasn’t an issue since the Tut has great room with all the side guy outs. I’ve since sold my Tut and won’t buy another til next season but I’ll dig around and see if I can find a pic or two.

Only two pics I could find right away. That’s a 78” x 25” cabelas outfitter cot without the silly add on pockets attached. We set it up at the station to test fit the cot before taking it on a quick overnight base camp type trip. Worked perfect but way woo heavy for backpacking in anywhere. We use the Luxurylite cots if going deep and wanting cots with us.

Yeah, I am looking to get something I can use with cots at base camp and in the future take backpacking with sleeping pads. My thought was if I could fit a stove and two cots I could use it this year while I finish getting backpacking supplies (like a sleeping pad) for next year.

Check out the seek outside tipis.

I had a thread a few years ago about cots in a Sawtooth but can't find it now, a guy posted a picture of cots in a Sawtooth, I never actually used them but I know the short cots from Helinox will work, I used some of those recliners that fold up and go in the tubular bags like camp chairs come in these days. They are narrower than standard cots but also taller, they worked pretty good except we got really cold being off the ground, your probably thinking that's what the stove is for, except about thirty minutes max after you go to sleep they aren't putting out much heat anymore. If you get the Helinox cots, they are light enough to backpack with if you're a sturdy type. If you sleep on a cot, you will need more insulation value to keep warm!
