I’m looking to transport 3 tikkas, a shotgun and a .22 internationally. This is for a move not a hunt. MUCH cheaper to check on a plane than ship. Recommendations on a couple of two gun cases? Three gun cases? Take something that will fit all 5? I ask Rokslide because…y’all are the experts. Cheers mates.

I reckon I could fit that is a standard double case with scopes removed. The hardest part is weight usually a 20-30lb case eats into your weight limit pretty bad. I removed the foam from my double and bubble wrapped the rifle for my trip back from Alaska to NZ. I did look at bigger cases but bigger than the standard 2 rifle cases they start weighing 30-40 pounds.

Could you take the actions out of the stock and ship them. This reduces the excess fees for being over 36”.
This “should “ be less expensive as you won’t need to spend $ on a hard case.

I have the pelican vault 2 gun case. If broken down, I could probably fit more. How many, don't know. But it'll give you an idea. 1 is tikka t3 308, the other is Browning abolt II 7 mag. So much longer barrel. 20241028_151510.jpg20241014_153017.jpg

Tuffpak or one of the similarly designed golf club type cases is your answer.
This is the answer. Put all the guns in individual gun socks or soft cases and pack clothing around. Do not pack so tight that there is no movement. Allow some movement. Put a Callaway golf sticker on the side and call it a day
