I am about to purchase my first suppressor that I will put on my 6.5 prc primarily but would also like to eventually put it on my 22-250. I've narrowed my choices down to 3 the gunwerks 6ix, gunwerks 6ix+ and the silencerco omega 300. I am also going to give it a few weeks to see if the new bill passes senate and save myself $200, I am looking at keeping my overall budget around $900

Well expect if the silencers get removed from the NFA as they should, they will be mighty hard to come by for about 6-8 months (my guess) , then they will be everywhere and I am
Betting prices will come down, more competition and anyone with a machine shop can start spitting them out, it will be fantastic!!! All that said, if you really want one soon, 200 bucks might be the price to pay to get one sooner like for this hunting season but if you can hold off pretty sweet saving that money

I am loving the possibilities for the market and trying to get ahead of the scarcity but not too far but I am sure every other hunter/shooter is thinking the exact same thing

Yep super exciting to think that we could have over the counter hearing protection! I have a 6 right now but won’t hesitate to get another bunch of them as soon as they are available again, they are a pleasure to shoot with

If you are budget conscious, snag a Dilligent Defense Enticer sti ($600ish and 8.9oz) pay the stamp, and you will still come out cheaper and have it in about a week.

Based off what research I've been able to compile from reading forums and reviews those 3 seem to fit what I am looking for. A 6-7" direct thread can that fits my budget of $900

I've been too cheap to buy a stamp for a 22lr can, if I can have new cans in CO still if this goes through that will be a purchase on my radar.

Why those ones?
I was under the impression that sb25-003 didn’t affect the purchase of cans? Also .22 cans are too much fun! Multi caliber ones are great. Suppressed .22 lr is about as close to Hollywood quite as it gets, 9mm with subs is up there too

I just got the DeadAir Nomad Ti XC, I wanted to try a 3d printed silencer. It seems pretty awesome, I have several other silencers as well but wanted to try the new technology.

In CO possession of a can is a felony unless you have a license or permit to have one, the proof you have said credentials is the ATF approval and tax stamp currently.

So if the ATF approval and tax stamp goes away there isn't currently a mechanism to satisfy the law on new purchases. Unless the federal law comes over the top somehow and/or CO alters that law.

This could affect possession of any can that did not get ATF approval, IE non-residents traveling though the state who legally bough a delisted suppressor might be commiting a felony in CO if that part isn't addressed.

This is where it gets grey, while doing my research and trying to learn the legalities before purchasing my first can, I was told directly by the ATF that technically only an IRS agent can legally ask to see your tax stamp document. The trust information should suffice as proof of approval and ownership. BUT, if you get a salty law enforcement agent that demands to see it to avoid seizing your possession, you could wind up in a bad situation.

It looks like even if they're removed from the NFA list, they're still a serialized firearm accessory that would require a NICS background check to purchase, and upon approval I hope that would suffice as "permitted".

Good to know, seems like the primacy clause would take effect then. I wouldn’t want to be the first one to test it. Of all the gun laws, which are silly and useless this demonizing of suppressors might be the most insane.

Saving $200 and red tape would be awesome. But if you want it for this year I’d get it now. If the bill passes supply will be gone overnight. Supply is tight now for some suppressors. I bet prices will go up too.

If it doesn’t pass you haven’t lost anything and have a suppressor.

My omega is still one of my favorite cans out of the 13 I have. It's not the quietest out there but the recoil reduction on bigger calibers is awesome! I do really like my Diligent Defense S as well. Bauer Precision has 15% off right now with code REMEMBER15. I just picked up a AB-10 in 7.62 for $388 shipped, hoping it's as good as my A-10 in 5.56.
