I haven't had any other 1hp grinders to compare it to, but I bought the #22 in early 2023 and been really happy with it. I made dog food for a diabetic dog for about a year and would toss chicken quarters with bone and all in there and it just chewed right through them without issue. Only thing I had to do was cut them to fit down the tube. I'm not sure how many thousands of pounds of that plus game animals I've put through it but it's been a bunch. I finally resharpened the blades recently. Get the foot pedal with it, it's a good upgrade. Prices are probably not relevant anymore, but I paid $349 for it on sale back in '23 with free shipping, but they did charge me tax.How does that compare to others price and quality wise?
Was planning on buying one but haven’t researched it yet.
I see a lot of guys recommend the foot pedal. What do you see as the benefit of it? I have never used one bit am trying to figure out how it would be better. I run 25lb batches, usually twice grind.Great deal. Get the foot pedal, game changer. I love mine
I don't have a foot pedal but every time I grind I wish I had one. Not running the grinder while transferring meat helps it stay cooler and the foot pedal makes that easier.I see a lot of guys recommend the foot pedal. What do you see as the benefit of it? Yep and don't have to wipe the meat off the power switch from touching it constantly lol.It basically frees up a hand. No switching it on or off, or need to keep it running all the time. Keeps both hands freed up, just tap the pedal as needed. I was instantly glad I got it.
