1HP Grinder #22 - On sale @ Meat

I don’t own this one specifically. It does have really solid reviews. Cabela’s version of the same HP is $599, also great reviews.

I’ve got an older Cabela’s version 3/4 HP that has served me very well.

How does that compare to others price and quality wise?

Was planning on buying one but haven’t researched it yet.
I haven't had any other 1hp grinders to compare it to, but I bought the #22 in early 2023 and been really happy with it. I made dog food for a diabetic dog for about a year and would toss chicken quarters with bone and all in there and it just chewed right through them without issue. Only thing I had to do was cut them to fit down the tube. I'm not sure how many thousands of pounds of that plus game animals I've put through it but it's been a bunch. I finally resharpened the blades recently. Get the foot pedal with it, it's a good upgrade. Prices are probably not relevant anymore, but I paid $349 for it on sale back in '23 with free shipping, but they did charge me tax.

I paid more than that for it on Black Friday. It seems like a beast so far. Ran a couple of whitetail through it and it was insanely fast compared to what I was used to.

Absolutely recommend. Love mine. Get a foot pedal.

Done two elk, 7 or 8 deer, a bunch of waterfowl and beef/lamb/pork. I need to get it out and do another session, our ground is low inventory.

This exact grinder was made for Cabela’s for years. I think it was called the carnivore. It is an outstanding grinder. I have put a lot of animals through this thing with zero issues or concerns. I paid full price for mine and am still happy with it at that price. This is a good deal.

Got one on order yesterday, I was equally surprised by the free shipping to Hawaii as I was by the sale price. I don't grind a ton, 1-2 animals a year, but I could justify it at this price considering I was either borrowing a grinder or grinding enough for one meal at a time with a Kitchenaid.
