The X300U has a higher output (1000 vs 650) than the Turbo with 15min less time, but I can't remember if it has a little wider "hot spot" than the Turbo. Both are same price. I don't have any time with the modlite.Speaking of lumens, I could use some advice on upgrading my pistol lights.
I've busted 3 switches now on TLR-7 HL-Xs, to the point where I keep a spare light on hand and just rotate it out. Size and performance are perfect for the CCW gun, but I want to get something bigger, more robust, and more reliable for OWB types of applications. The light needs to reach out to100yds effectively, and it needs to soundly cause pain and temp blindness on a target.
Top contenders are the Surefire 300 Turbo, and the Modlite PL350.
Any big pros or cons with either of these? Anything else I should consider?

The x300U is bright as hell. It lit up a mountain lion at around 170yds behind my house last year, FWIW.
You have any experience with those? If a particular 1911 has all the features you like, but comes bobtail only, like a 4.25 inch TRP that comes bobtail only, there is this:

The PL350 is pretty stout. On par with highly regarded rifle lights IMO. Easy 200yd throw. I had one of the old 650lumen X300’s, and the mod light blew its doors off. I can’t compare it to any of the new gen X300’s though.Speaking of lumens, I could use some advice on upgrading my pistol lights.

It is slightly longer than the x300’s. And gives a little muzzle standoff on the G34 and 5” Kimber. But still fits in the X300 safariland holster. I know the Tenicor velo Lux specifically states that they fit the pl350.
Here are a few pics showing the muzzle standoff with what I had on hand:

(And the TLR1 actually tucks in pretty well with the Tenicor holster. Surprisingly comfy).
As far as other lights to consider:
The new cloud EPL has my attention as far as something new. I’ve very much liked my other cloud products. But will wait until a little more info about it starts to circulate from users.
