181 Hammer Hunters 300 Win Mag?

I’m getting ready to start load development on these, powders I have on hand are RL23,H1000,imr7977,RL26,imr7828,H4831...where are you guys finding your best loads?

I have a great load with the 181 hammers in my 300 win mag using h1000. I will look at exact specs when I get home tonight.

Steve with Hammer suggested RL23 though I haven't gotten a chance to experiment. I tried RL26 with ok results. I made the mistake of only buying 50 and ran out tinkering so I will wait to order more once I get moved into my new house.

RL23 has been great in mine. I get about 3150 FPS (24" CA Mesa) and just a hair under pressure signs. RL26 will give more velocity but I am saving mine for my PRC.

ADG Brass, 215s, 72 gr of RL23, 40 thou off lands

If your rifle has fast enough twist rate the 199 hammers performed great for me out of my .300 win mag. Getting 3054 fps average with adg brass, h1000, and 215m primers.

Box recommends 1:9.25 if you wanted to try them out I believe hammer sells small quantities for testing.
