I’m picking up a .17 hornet this week and I’m debating what to put on top. First off I guess I should explain what I’m planning on using h rifle for, I’ll be hunting coyote and fox (mostly fox around my area) out to 250 yards, I will be closer hopefully if it’s a coyote.

I’m looking at a swfa 3-9 hd first but I was worried about the lack of an adjustable parallax, I calculated the maximum amount of parallax at 100 yds with a 125m set parallax and it’s not too bad, but I’m also not very experienced when it comes to this sort of thing, let me know if you have any advice! I have a nightforce nxs 2.5-10x42 and I’d love to get another but I need to stay cheaper with this rifle!

I put a 4.5-18 Bushnell LRTS (CLNY $649 closeout) on mine. The extra x's are sure handy in a dogtown or ground skwirl patch..... You can get a gen 2 LRHS sub one thousand at GAP....

Great looking rifle, they are kinda on the heavy side but I have thought about them

I have a CZ 17 Hornet, fitted with a Leupold 6.5x20x50. I use it only for short range prairie dogs. I have shot a couple coyotes with great results.
