Does anybody have a tikka lite in 6.5 cm chopped to 16”? If so what’s your velocity? Would probably prefer to shoot 130s.

Considering an itty bitty hunting rifle with a small can on it. Would only be used for 0-300 whitetail hunting. Thanks all.

I chopped one to 18” and I get 2750 out of 143’s with RL26. Haven’t shot any factory out of it though. That load was 2960 out of a 24” barrel.

I've got an 18.5" T3X in 6.5 CM, I haven't chrono'd it w/out my can or before the chop, but my velocities with my can (SiCo Omega) are:

@ 1,184', 49% humidity, 88*F, and 29.91 inHg
Factory 147 ELD-M
1. 2480
2. 2411
3. 2474
4. 2438
5. 2426
AVG: 2445 fps

Factory 143 ELD-X
1. 2394
2. 2399
3. 2375
4. 2376
5. 2367
AVG: 2382 FPS

I've now killed three critters with this rifle and the ELD-M's (two elk and one WT), pretty small sample size, but the results have been impressive and very drama-free. The combo's been good enough to me that I don't see the need to take out the twin -06 and deal with the recoil.

3 tikka barrels in 6.5 creedmoor have been slow as shit.

Now maybe if you get your hands on some magic powder (re 26). Otherwise with h4350 and the like I wouldn’t expect much more than 2600.

If you’re plan is to shoot anything but Berger factory your probably looking at 2400.

run your numbers. If it’s going 2k at 300 stuffs going to die quick

I have plenty of 26 :)

Tikka barrels being slow already was one of my concerns and why I mentioned the tikka part. At 2600 I would have 2000fps to 400 yards still, so seems reasonable for my purpose
