hey guys
Starting with a weatherby 307 range xp 2.0 in 7 BC. Hunted with it last year and am giving it a makeover this summer.
Here’s the build list and most everything is bought except for suppressor which I am looking for opinions about.

Cut barrel down to 16 inches, thread 5/8ths-24 if possible
Vortex Razor LHT 3-15x42
Stone glacier skyline scope cover
Peak 44 Bastion stock
Tricer RP bipod
Hinged floor plate from other Remington 700 (more on that later)
Trigger tech primary flat trigger
Salmon river solutions Picatinny and mini arca
Hawkins one piece rings 30mm low
MK machining xlp polymer sight level 30mm
MK machining throw lever
Butler creek Ultralight sling
Stippling job on grip and forend, marine Tex?
Weatherby Skeletonized bolt knob

Weighing either a reflex suppressor to just keep it stupid short.
Options for this:
Just listened to the big hunt guys podcast with unknown munitions and heard they are planning on dropping a hub standard reflex section that they will be able to be used with their reaper 30. Alongside they are also releasing a 4 inch reaper and an 8 inch. Supposed to be under 10 ounces for the 4 inch reaper and 4 inch reflex. Can add the salmon river solutions grim supressor brake. Very compelling. Maybe a touch heavy

Muzzle forward ideas: the tenet limited 7 or 30 with single port brake, even kicked around the idea of the longer quieter reserve 30 for 3 extra inches and 3 extra ounces. 25 inch barrel including the brake kinda negates the idea of a short lightweight backcountry hunting rifle. But would be luxurioussssss

Maybe airlock 30 or Mack bros zenith.

Hit me with any thoughts or opinions on my build and what suppressor you would get.

Anybody have any experience adding texture to their slippery carbon stocks?

After owning a rem clone action I'd never own another. Had at least three clicks instead of bangs because of moon dust in the trigger. Didn't realize it was the cause at the time. Then digging around here apparently this is common for Remmy clones. Form has seen a lot of high end Remmy clones the bed.

Hopefully your experience is different but if you haven't already bought the action I'd look at something else.

Yea I’ve had and hunted with my 307 for a year. Just taking the time and money to put it on a diet and make it more purpose built as a mid range lightweight hunting rig.

Taking my other Remington 700 that is chambered in 7mm rem mag and throwing my old synthetic bastion stock on it and the razor 4.5-22x50 that was on my 307 last year.
Turning that in to a heavier front country long range hunting/training rifle that I’ll work up hand loads for. Antelope/deer in eastern MT and slapping steel out real far.
Gonna see if the 185 TMK’s will stabilize in my 1:10 twist barrel at 5000 feet elevation where I am, probably should but gonna test. Maybe the 195 bergers but we will see. And throw some 120 nosler ballistic tip or 100 gr sierra varmintking for coyote and prairie dog fun.

Excited to have the same ergonomics, same scope controls, trigger pull weight and bipod that will be switched between the two rifles.

A sweet two gun system in my future!
