Going down the .223 rabbit hole for training and hunting. I have decided on a proof 16.5" sendero contour carbon. I will be shooting both 55gr bullets for training and the 77gr tmk when i can find them. Which twist rate would be better?

1:7? 1:8?

I searched the forums but couldnt find a direct answer.

Either will work, but the 1-7” allows more heavy/long options. 1-7” has no downside.

The only reason I see for going 1-8 is if you have an extreme case of OCD it'll be exactly 2 full twists in a 16" barrel
