139gr scenar replacement

Hello friends,

I bought 3300 139gr 6.5 scenars and am down to my last 270ish. I've happily shot them with 4451 at 2725 in my factory t3x 6.5cm. After reading the 6.5 dead animal thread it appears that the 130gr tmk, 140 eldm, 143 eldx and 147 eldm are held in high esteem and just plain work. I can find 130gr tmk and 147gr eldm for the same price with the 140 and 143 costing slightly more. I have 17lbs of imr 4451 and am not willing to buy a different powder.

Considering 4451 will be used, 147 has better bc, 130 seems to be slightly preferred by @Formidilosus and they cost the same (are both cheaper than 140, and 143), which one would you choose?

This doesn't help, but I'm curious what was your experience with scenars? Good or meh?

Where are you finding tmks cheaper than 140 eldm?

The scenars are possibly more accurate, and don’t expand as fast, but still a good hunting and excellent target bullet

Killed a lot of critters with the scenars - like a harder berger. Very accurate bullet.
