13 Elk preference points in Wyoming

Thinking about cashing them in next year...getting too old to keep waiting. Don’t think I can afford/justify the money for a guided hunt. Have done several DIY elk hunts in CO. Any suggestions for units with good elk numbers, good public access and NO GRIZZLIES!

Anything West and South of Lander.

Saw some excellent sign and some big boys hunting that area for mules this past October.

7,16,19 all good choices if you don’t want to hunt around the fuzzy wuzzy’s. You’ll have to navigate around private but all 3 of those areas can produce a giant bull if you’re patient.
