Looking for 10x42's with sufficient eye relief for someone wearing glasses. I know the standard recommendation of at least 15mm for eyeglasses wearers, but I also know that eye relief specs are inconsistent. Would appreciate some firsthand knowledge. I'm looking in the sub $1000 price class.

I don’t wear my glasses when I’m looking through my binos.
Set them up for your eyes without your glasses on, that’s what I’ve done and it works well for me.

Maven B1.2
Maven B6 10x50 (which is the size and weight of most 42mm binos)
Maven B2 9x45 or 11x45 (9x45 is slightly better on eye relief)
Athlon Cronus G2 ($500, but very good)

Google "birdforum useable eye relief in binoculars". A guy on there with a huge bino collection measured the effective eye relief from the rim of the eye cup on all his models. It's a great resource. For me I need 15mm or more from the edge of the eye-cup to see the whole FOV, which usually means 18-20mm listed in the specs. This can vary depending on the style and thickness of the eyeglasses.

I just take my glasses off usually. Could never get a great look through the binos with them on with several different brands.
I typically don’t wear glasses when I’m using binoculars. But I have astigmatism and it’s getting worse, so I’m wanting to think ahead for my next big binocular purchase.

Zeiss Conquest HD, Leica Trinovid, Maven B 1.2 and Maven B6 have good for me if you can buy used. Stuff under $1000 i always struggled with but I thought the Vortex Vipers were pretty decent.
