August Course Of Fire:
Same yardage, same target, same scoring, same tie breaker as original
@Bluumoon post.
H:
1. 20 Seconds.
2. Start from standing with pack on, rifle in hand, condition 3. Use a tree branch, pillar, 2x4 standing up, hockey stick, tall boulder, tall stump, shade structure support pole, etc. anything tall enough to allow you a standing/supported shot (if using a tripod it must be stored how you pack it on a hunt). Ideally something like the shot below (exact tree and shot position used to kill a mule deer 2 years ago). Shoot 3 shots.
3. On Paper.
O:
1. 30 Seconds.
2. Start from standing with pack on, rifle in hand, condition 3. Remove pack. Build a seated/supported position and gather sight picture on target,
maintaining condition 3. Stand up. Grab pack and move laterally at least 10 feet (we are breaking position and changing the shooting angle on a moving animal that gave us no shot opportunity the first time we built the position). Shoot 2 seated supported shots.
3. On paper
R:
1. 45 Seconds.
2. Start from standing with pack on, rifle in hand, condition 3. Set rifle down and remove pack (or don't) and sprint 25 yards down range and back. 4 shots any position you choose.
3. On paper.
S:
1: 20 Seconds.
2: Start from standing with pack on, rifle in hand, condition 3. Shoot 3 kneeling supported or unsupported shots.
3. On paper.
E:
1. 45 Seconds.
2. Start from standing with pack on, rifle in hand, condition 3. Shoot 1 standing off hand shot. Next, shoot 1 seated or kneeling unsupported shot. Next, remove pack and shoot 1 seated or kneeling supported shot. Next, shoot 1 supported prone shot.
BE SAFE! DO NOT RACK until your next position is built. Ideally your safety will be on until face on stock.
3. On paper.
Let me know if there are any questions. Have fun and be safe!
