If you have a steel distributor near you (in MT we have pacific steel) you can have them cut you an ar500 plate/plates for much less than the plates you would buy from a retailer. My brother just had pacific cut him a bunch of different sized plates for a range he is setting up and they will cut any shape/size including holes for mounting for what he figured to be roughly 1/3 of the price of a retailer.

I just ordered a bunch of gongs off eBay a month or so ago. HDsteeltargets was the seller. I got 12” x1/2” for like $54 each after tax and shipping. I looked for “blemished” or “seconds”. They are completely fine. They had the tiniest overrun by the plasma cutter. eBay was the cheapest I found over all
