If you have a steel distributor near you (in MT we have pacific steel) you can have them cut you an ar500 plate/plates for much less than the plates you would buy from a retailer. My brother just had pacific cut him a bunch of different sized plates for a range he is setting up and they will cut any shape/size including holes for mounting for what he figured to be roughly 1/3 of the price of a retailer.

I just ordered a bunch of gongs off eBay a month or so ago. HDsteeltargets was the seller. I got 12” x1/2” for like $54 each after tax and shipping. I looked for “blemished” or “seconds”. They are completely fine. They had the tiniest overrun by the plasma cutter. eBay was the cheapest I found over all

He makes some stands too that actually work for more than a couple hundred impacts.

I’ve purchased from that outfit as well and have been happy with them. For stands, I’ve settled on the AR500 hooks and the tab things that work with metal conduit.
