I used to carry trekking poles mainly for setting up tarps, but found I really didn’t use them for much else. So, I started carrying only a Bahco Laplander saw to cut sticks for my tarp setup. There was never a use for the Laplander saw other than to cut my sticks, so I ended up with this nice lightweight saw that holds standard jigsaw blades. I’ve also used it once to cut a baton for firewood. It comes with diamond files which are a bit coarse, but could be used to sharpen knives. Keep it in the side pocket of my bino harness so I can pull it out easily when I come across a good

stick close to nightfall. Does everything I need and only weighs 1.5 oz. $17 on Amazon.
