I decided to purchase the new 2025 lift x 29.5. 28.5 draw length 60lbs weight. The tuning feature is super easy to adjust. I test shot the Hoyt alpha x at the same time. The Hoyt has a smoother draw cycle but doesn’t compare to the weight and sound level of the Mathews lift x. Significantly...
The main problem was with last years lift at higher draw weights. And even in the very small chance you have an issue, Mathews with fix is asap. I’ve had the lift x 29.5. For 3 months and put over 4000 arrows through it so far. Still as pretty and powerful as the day I bought it.
I use the victory rip ss arrows to get the extra punching weight at the tip of the arrow. They can take a beating. Shot through my target into a wood stump a few times. Arrows held up perfectly fine and just the field points got stuck. SS inserts had no issues. Perfect arrow for both hunting and...
Too long isn’t very dangerous, but too short is. Arrow should be about 1” infront of rest when full drawn. Too short and it can come off and go through your hand if not careful.
The neon/light blues are easy to see compared to the darker tones. But wouldn’t ever use blue fletching during hunting season. I mainly hunt whitetail and they can see the color blue 20X better then we can…
A used bow off archery talk or Craigslist. Maybe someone you know. Can get a very well maintained bow or even a pretty recent year for an amazing deal, if you look hard enough. But anything is better then brand new when looking to stick with a budget
Best decision I ever made was going back to a coffee percolator. There are a few options on amazon. Crazy hot coffee. Small-large pot size. Can put in fridge for next day and reheat with no flavor issues. Only 60 bucks. Do need to use 4” filters in addition to the filter basket.
In my experience, deer don’t care about any smells that aren’t human. Cigarette smoke, coffee, burning wood… the deer just keep rolling by. Once your scent goes past them, they are gone.
I’m pretty sure you can install most sight housings that utilizes the 10-32 rod onto the new Axcel tactical landslyde. Meaning you can use one you already have or buy a specific housing to match your needs and install in on their mounting bar. So you could technically get a single pin and 3-5...
I brought down two eastern whitetail bucks this year using the g5 dead meat v2. 28.5 draw, 58lb draw weight. One clean pass through and one got blocked coming out the back end of rib cage. Worked very well
