Bought a Proof Elevation in 6.5 PRC for my wife. .5 MOA gun. 6 lbs 5 oz. 24" barrel SRS Ti Pro break. Gun is a medium action no COAL issues for even long 156 Bergers. She is so confidant with factory 147 ELD-M's it is scary. 500 - 680 is a chip shot off bench or prone. 1080 yards she is doing... -

Why pay for a "custom" action?
Bought the gun NEW @ the price stated from a TX dealer on the internet. I recently saw a 300 PRC 24" Elevation for $2695. These are GUN ONLY prices. Shop the web sites and be ready to buy. Enjoy! The Proof rifles I have seen/shot are lights out guns, whether $8k or less... -

UPDATE: Per GW this Kahles was zeroed @ 200 for this PRC from factory. GW's customer service is beyond great. Found out they set their 200 yard zeros to have 2 MOA'S of "slop" or below hard stop @ ZERO to facilitate different grin loads with a twist of the turret. Long story short - scope is... -

All good info, and thank you! I like a hunting rifle to be a "less tha 300 yard" rifle, throw it up and kill it. Past that range you generally have more time to dial up a solution and shoot, especially when dealing with an animal out there 500 yards plus, time is on your side. In my experience... -

Why would anyone choose any centerfire cartridge within a range of 10 feet? Relevance? See 5.56 M4, but then only for about 6 seconds with a standard 30 round magazine. C'mon guys this convo is worthless, but yet here we are...
