I just bought a Stevens 301 this year and am seriously impressed with the patterns I’m seeing. If you would have told me I’d be using a 410 to turkey hunt with when I started I would be have laughed at you. Only downside is price of tss
I literally just put batteries in mine last Wednesday and got the message last night that it’s consumed 80% already lol. Not the first time it’s happened either.
I made the switch to a Stevens 301 this year and man the ammo costs especially tss.. but I gotta say the pattern is incredible at 30. And that’s with their stoke.
I have used a back on a few bows and myself I don’t feel like for 40-50 and less like most whitetail shots happen it’s overkill. I know a lot of people will disagree and I’m no expert by any means. But I get along good with good front bar.
it’s hard to beat a good clover plot.. you can frost seed it and it’s relatively easy to maintain. Also provides a lot of protein and nutrition to deer and turkeys.
I don’t. I bought some but never have used them. We had a bovine tuberculosis outbreak a few years back where I hunt and I never used them either. I wash my hands pretty good. If I had an open wound I probably would use them.
