It hasn’t reduced our population that I can tell, yet. I had a doe and two youngins this mornI got in the back yard. Several a day is usual. Had five button bucks last month. A good young six pointer chasin a doe in rut a few weeks ago. Harvested numbers are good so far this year as well.
know in Missouri around 2003 MDC said it was in two counties. Now, twenty years later they say sixty six of 114.
I question the accuracy especially early on. You won’t see what you’re not looking for, no?
I suppose it’s one of those things at this point the individual consumer is going to have...
I have the new style Uniflo and like it much better than the old one. I almost went Redding but cheaped out. So far very consistent with TAC CFE rifle and pistol, even Unique. But spot on with CFE 223.
I’m far from a scientist. But about ten years ago we attended a class at a Missouri Conservation center. They said there were far more deer in the USA than since the country was formed. So just asking, is over population a concern/cause?
And if the antis got their way I’d suspect that would be...
I’ve had success, for me, with CFE under 75 gr Hornady FMJBT M. Going to try some TAC as well.
Just at .7” 100yd group with free floating 20” stainless.
I’d like to try the ELDs.
I would still like to know terminal comparison between the Hornady 75gr M and the 77 gr Sierra which is what I asked, not whether anyone believes them to be good hunting bullets.
My loads forced some reason are a bit more accurate with the Hornady’s than the SMK.
However I’ve missed most of our deer season so may try alternative methods next month with my Super Blackhawk and 240 XTPs.
You’re correct to a point. It’s like the analyst question my wife’s asks. “How the heck did pioneers feed their families with worn 36 cal rifles and no CLP fir lube”? Lol
Old Paco the lever rifle guru kept venison on the table back in his impoverished days with 38 spl hand cast out of a worn out...
