    270 wsm 350 yards Barnes LRX 129 quartering away pretty hard. 3250Fps muzzle velocity. Went in the ribs out the front of opposite shoulder. Spun a tight circle and fell right there.

    6mm creed or 6mm Remington since you are already an 06 length action. I would stay 6mm or bigger for legality in Colorado. 260 Remington AI or 7-08AI with lighter monos are plenty fast and flat shooting. So many options not a single one is wrong!

    MY 22TTH is a heck of a shooter. It’s been several years since I have shot it. It weighs 15 lbs so I don’t carry it and no longer have time to play long range much. The aoudad, antelope, and mule deer I have shot have been bang flops. I have debated building a light weight rifle.

    How did the 6.5 Creedmoor lose steam so quickly?

    I never really got on the 6.5 creed train, but mainly because I have an 6.5-284 that is a tack driver. Im not sure I’ll ever own one. I like to reload its relaxing. IMHO the 6.5 creed has reached its peak sales and will slowly taper off after the next big thing comes out to reinvent the wheel.
