Wondering if anyone is shooting a .280 Rem. Ive had one for years and its just a plane jane set up with a Nikon 3x9 and I just use it for hunting whitetails in Wisconsin. Most areas I cant shoot over 150 yards so Ive only shot this gun out to 200 on a buck I killed a few years back with it. I am...
Looking for a pair of boots for Wyoming antelope and walking big hills in south east Missouri. I have hunted mostly marsh and swamp my whole life so Ive never bought a decent pair of boots besides knee high rubber boots for all of the deer, bear, and bird hunting I do. Just wondering what guys...
Easton 4mm FMJs with a 125 cutthroad 3 blade out of my compound
Easton camo hunter XX75s 2217s with a 125 cutthroad 3 blade out of my recurve.
Big fan of both arrows
From central Wisconsin, big into bow hunting whitetails and when I am lucky enough to draw.. black bear hunting is my favorite. Married to an awesome chick and we have an awesome little one year old named Weston. Westy's favorite thing to do is point at mounts in the house and tell you what kind...
I have hunted all over the state the last few years. I am in love with the northwoods but it can be tough. Gun and bow hunted the Parkfalls area from 2016-2021 and I did kill one big 10 point and a decent 8 point with my gun 2 out of the 5 years. Bow hunting seemed to be good for me from...
.280 browning A Bolt with a 140 grain bullet is a great pill for whitetails. Ive killed bucks out to 300 yards without any problems. Going to be using the same set up next fall for antelope.
Hard to beat anything from Sitka, from 85 and sunny in September all the way down to -30 windchill in late January Ive been very impressed. I personally buy all mine used from the sitka buy sell trade group on facebook.
I am now shooting 4mm FMJs and I have a 31inch arrows. My quiver I have now will not hold those arrows real tight and when I put them in they seem to hang a mile past my bottom cam on my bowtech realm x. Just wondering what quivers a guy could recommend for the 4mm shafts and the long arrows.
I personally love it. I go down to MO for the muzzleloader season after Christmas every year and I have packed out my stand and a quartered deer in a single trip without any issues. I love how it carries weight. This past summer I used it every few days to haul in a 5 gallon bucket full of bear...
For a tree I have been hunting in solid pants and optifade tops the last few years. Ive never been to convinced on camo while up in a tree. Ground hunting I have on an sub alpine hoodie with the facemask and always have on a ghillie. The bear in my profile pic was killed at 9 yards with a...
Ive been using a lone wolf alpha 2 with the tree step sticks. 9/10 hunts I use just three sticks and leave the fourth at home. Early season I just take the stand and sticks on my back but later in the year as it gets colder I put the stand in my Stryker XL because I am packing in more clothes...
Im a big fan of the 2.0 I shoot 70 lbs and aluminum arrows with that head. Have blown through every whitetail and pig I have shot with them. Personally I take the blades out and sharpen them up. I have not hunted anything bigger then whitetails with them, Im planning on a few hunts out west...
Looks like an interesting head. When I hunt with my compound I have shot a few different heads and i stuck with the sevr 2.0. Very impressed with that and you can easily resharpen them if they blades do not get to dinged up. Ive killed three does with one head.
Ive been shooting the 125 grain 3 blade, killed a pig and a bear so far both with the same head. Very impressive head and great guys to email questions to.
Wondering if anyone had has some success spot and stalking a goat with a recurve. I have a few points saved up and I am looked to cash in for next year or the year after. I am not against sitting water holes but I think it would be pretty neat slipping in on one.
I have been keeping it pretty simple, ive shot pretty much the same set up for the last six year. Predator Classic recurve 51@28 (I have a 30 inch draw) with a four fletched 4 inch feather full length xx75 2117s and a 125 head. Only thing I have changed is my broadheads over the years. Ive used...
I have a 1.5x4 on my 870 slug gun, personally I would like to have a 2x7. Ive killed deer out to 150 yards but with that 4 power it is not the best. I hunt in Wisconsin and we used to hunt in a shotgun county, now it was switched to rifle. Sometimes I still take out the 870 for the late doe...
