I have a knight Moutaineer in .50 cal and I've been looking at the CVA accura Mr x for 650 but I feel I can get it for 600 brand new in 45. Would that be a good intro gun into 45 cal. I've only had good luck out of my cva optima I 50 cal. Or I could get a mountaineer in .45 and see how it goes...

    Scope for Muzzleloader

That's where I'm at I have a 3x10 with a small objective lens on one inline and on the other I'm curious if a Vortex vhs 4x14 50mm would work. You didn't derail a thing actually put what I was curious about better than me. 14x in my opinion where I live and hunt is overkill I'm just curious if...

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

Shoot enough to know that I'm not shooting a deer with a 223 if I don't have to. As far as my flawed logic as you put it I'm fine with admitting if I'm wrong and in this case I'm sure I am, like I have stated before still haven't read the thread all the way through. And as far as opinions they...

.22 Magnum for deer, moose or bear?

My state requires centerfire ammunition but does not specify what ammo as a minimum. Pretty wild that the rimfire shooters could stuff a freezer full of meat but my state won't allow rimfire for Larger game above furbearers. I'll stick to center fire ammo because that's what I have to do and I...
