    Elk struck by lightning?

If alien involvement is off the table, my money is on a too far forward rifle shot. He'd gotten pretty sick and septic causing the hair loss. The several livestock I've seen that were lightning strike kills, their hooves were blown off when the bolt grounded them. There was no dazed walking...

    What’s everyone’s favorite squirrel recipe?

My grandmother and mother used to make squirrel pie for me when I was younger. Basically a chicken pot pie substituted with squirrel meat that had been picked off the bone after boiling. I got tired of skinning squirrels by the time I was in college and haven’t had a squirrel pie in 25 years.

    Thorofare wilderness hunt

We’re going with Yellowstone in 2029. Had the option of first or second rifle. I was planning to book first week but Brandon said he felt second week could be better because of better chance of good weather. Now I’ve been second guessing myself though since.

    Gaining muscle for hunting?

As many of the others have said, finding that physical sweet spot is the key. More strength is never a bad thing and the muscle gain/ hypertrophy will come quickly if you've never lifted or done strength training previously. I doubt you'd gain so much new muscle that it would hinder your cardio...

Shot bull. Having a hard time finding him.

Was the bull still visible to you at the location you found the blood? Many times I have seen a non-vital hit animal (deer mostly) run off 20-50 yards an d stop to look around like “what just happened” giving a little time for blood to pool up under them before they move off again. Usually...
