.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

62gr Gold Dot added another doe to the freezer. Centered the lungs at 100yds, good size hole through both and body cavity filled with blood. She made it a few yards and was down.

    Budget EBike

What a good base bike to build off of? My neighbor put a Bafang on his cheap mountain bike that has no front suspension...motor works great, but if you hit a bump, you're crashing. Most of what I'll be riding on is service roads, I'm just out of shape and can't pedal up bigger hills, so...

    Budget EBike

What’s a decent EBike for the under $1k? I’m not climbing mountains with it, I’ll just be on service roads and well used trails. Some steep hills, but no mountains here. Just want something to get me a mile or two into some hunting spots faster than walking.

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

I’ve killed a dozen or so deer with the 62gr Fusion and they have all exited so far. Longest shot was just over 200yds.

Thoughts on Ruger M77 Action Potential?

Tikka and Ruger use the same thread pattern on their actions. Gunsmith had to do a bit of work to get headspace correct, but said it was an easy swap. Rugers are not quite machined to the specs that Tikkas are. I did it bc I ended up with an extra Tikka barrel on a trade and the old Ruger .243...

Thoughts on Ruger M77 Action Potential?

I screwed a Tikka 6.5 barrel on my M77 (first rifle) action, bedded it in a laminated stock, trigger job, and polished the action. Not sure whether to call it a Rikka or a Tuger, but it shoot well and has killed a few deer.

Tikka T3X Recoil Pad? Aftermarket (non CTR)

Limbsaver is the ticket for less felt recoil. If you need a slightly shorter LOP KRG thin pad is perfect. I use it for about a 13” lop.

    S&W bodyguard 2.0

It fits may hand better than the P365. They did a good job with the ergos of the grip. It’s a small pistol, but I can easily get both hands comfortably on the grip. I dot have big hands, so may be difficult for those with large hands.

Ruger M77 Hawkeye SS or Winchester Model 70 Extreme Weather SS MB

I have both and would go with the Winchester. Better trigger, smoother action, better stock in the model you're looking at.

    S&W bodyguard 2.0

There’s an optic coming for 2025 that might fit it. Fits in the rear sight dovetail. Someone at the local shop was talking about it.

    S&W bodyguard 2.0

It does handle really well for how light it is. Ergos are well done. I think Critical Defense ammo should work well for most woods applications.
