    Would you buy this scope?

If it's not cerakoted Rokslide green or MAGA red then I'm not interested.

    Would you buy this scope?

I was just pointing out they exist. I don't dial for windage, my preference is 100% capped, I can live with locking but exposed is just a liability.

    Would you buy this scope?

They do exist, only let's you dial a certain amount in each direction. Zero stop isn't really the right name for it, more like a revolution limiter.

    Tall enough tripod

Any of the full size RRS tripods will be tall enough. The Leofoto non-LS 364 series tripods are all pretty tall also.

Vortex Viper 2.5-10x44 vs Nightforce SHV 3-10x42

I've never seen that 2.5-10x44, but I'd heard that the glass was generally not very well regarded. The 2.5-10x32 however was meant to be the best in the PST G1 range. I've got one of these and think the glass is pretty darn good.

    The perfect hunting scope.

What's wrong with the customer support? Seems like the guys who bought the dual focal plane 1.5-15 didn't have any issues getting their reticles replaced recently. I've not heard anyone having issue with March CS.

Vortex Viper 2.5-10x44 vs Nightforce SHV 3-10x42

I'm surprised you think the glass is better in the HST than the VX5. I had an HST 4-16 and replaced it with a VX5 and the glass was a lot better in the VX5. The 3-10 SHV glass is kinda terrible, if you don't like the VX5 I dnt think you'll like thr SHV.

    S&B 3-12x42 Klassik for hunting

Oof, that's not many mils to play with. I guess a 20moa rail is a safe bet to get the full 4.8mils from the elevation turret.

    S&B 3-12x42 Klassik for hunting

I think I'll have to try one of these out, for a pure hunting scope they seem to tick a lot of boxes. The limited elevation is mildly annoying but it probably will never be an issue. Just need to find a way to get one in New Zealand.

    S&B 3-12x42 Klassik for hunting

What's the glass like on these scopes? The price is getting up there but is relatively cheap for a Schmidt, so I'm guessing the glass isn't at the same level as a PM2/higher priced S&B scope.

    Sportsmatch Tikka rings and RTZ

RTZ should be pretty good off the Tikka rail, might now be perfect but it'll be within a few clicks. If you want reliable RTZ when removing the scope a pic rail is probably the best way to go.

    Bullet Choice (S2H podcast ep35)

Looking at the results from the 223 75gr BTHP and the 6.5CM 147gr, it seems like both these and anything in between these is going to work well on game. The 225gr ELDM 300PRC looks impressive.

    Bullet Choice (S2H podcast ep35)

So as a rule of thumb if you can't get a "match bullet" to stay above, say 1800fps similar to the Barnes TTSX or bonded bullets? Reason I ask is I listened to the podcast just as I was thinking about starting to reload for a 303 that I wanted to use for close distance hunting. I have a 260...

    Bullet Choice (S2H podcast ep35)

You mentioned in the podcast about going too fast with match bullets (100gr 6.5mm for example) and that match bullets still expand at much lower velocities (223 at 800yards). Is there a velocity range best to stay within or atleast not exceed? What about if match bullets aren't available...

    Bullet Choice (S2H podcast ep35)

Form says that the traditional cup and core bullets are objectively worse than match bullets, hence the question. The podcast discusses the "ideal" perfectly mushroomed bullet and how people have been convinced with marketing that it's what you want (I think of Remington CoreLokts "Dealiest...

    Bullet Choice (S2H podcast ep35)

While that is true, its not the point that is being made in the podcast. Form says that match bullets make better hunting bullets, due to their tendency to fragment and tumble.

    Bullet Choice (S2H podcast ep35)

Just listened to the podcast “Bullet Ballistics: A hunters guide”, seems like something funny is happening in the background as it got recast on my app and doesn’t appear in the previous episodes. Anyway, basic premise of the discussion is that heavy for calibre match bullets (ELD-M, TMK...

NF SHV 4-14x, Viper PST 3-15x, or Arken EPL-4 4-16x?

That specific model is, but only available through GAP. The other LRHS/LRTS models were discontinued years ago.

    Would you buy this scope?

A VX6 2-12 with a firedot is an amazing scope if you hunt in tight bush. I didn't have issue with either my VX5 or VX6, and many other rate them. I say buy a used one, do your own testing and I'd you aren't happy buying used means you don't loose much money.

    Would you buy this scope?

You are right, the LRHS/LRTS is the closest thing ad the best chance of this happening. However it doesn't meet the weight spec and I think that's one of the major sticking points with most people, otherwise they'd just buy the Maven 2.5-15. It'll be interesting to see if this idea goes...
