This is my old single lock “standard” tripod. The newer double lock I believe is the same length folded it just gets ya some more height when fully extended. 37” extended with the column down and 51” with the column up on the newer 2 lock standard.
The OD standard tripod looks similar in size to the ascend14, but it is a full pound lighter. Hard to tell without them side by side but I would guess the OD has smaller diameter legs and a much higher minimum height until they come out with a shorter center column(they said that should be...
Nice, I’ve been watching some on eBay and there’s some 34L’s on there, but I think the tfc 33 with a bh40 would be the sweet spot for me, should cover everything from prone-standing and it’s only half an oz heavier than the 24L and should be quite bit more stable. The only downside being it’s...
Not a huge deal but it looks like the Revic can be top loaded vs the va5 you have to slide the plates in or out of the front or rear. I might pick one up to compare with the va5.
All used for 4-5 hunting seasons, everything is in good shape just selling to move up to an RRS tripod.

A fella named Max, although I just re-read the email and he did say “I believe they are 38mm”
Kinda hard to tell from the pictures but I guess if you could measure how thick the housing is at the bottom of the 90* drop notch, then double it and subtract it from 40mm. That looks to be pretty...
I got a response from Spartan and they said 38mm.
Another thought I had was just using my va5 head then getting an original davros with a little arca rail on the bottom, so I could slide the optic off and put the davros head right on the va5. Do you think that would be a good idea or maybe...
I’ve come across that raynauds a bit when looking into it which is probably what led to the frostbite. I guess I could maybe try that NO cream and see if it helps. But it’s definitely best to take care of your hands because since getting frostbite they are exponentially more sensitive to the...
