Hey Guys!
Coming to you today for a few questions on Bullets and Calibers.. I know it's beating a dead horse on that topic, but I would like to have a couple things cleared up.
I got myself a T3x S/S in .308 last year (knowing what I know now, I'd like to have it in 6.5 CM, but funds won't...
I use a Okuma Celilo UL 6.5 feet rod, budget friendly and works awesome without spending big money! 10lb braid to 4lb mono leader, panther martin or rooster tail!
Carrying the Wave+ on my belt everyday and it gets used more than once each day. Not sure if the Skeletool would be that much lighter/better but I love the knifes, saw and file on the wave!
Another trick for making sure the camera is pointed right I used is to turn the “selfie” camera on on your phone and hold it tight to the front of your cam and you can see what it captures. Worked pretty good for me!
I was able to locate some of the 125gr Hornady ammo, and will pick up a few boxes next time I get there, thanks. I might even try to fill the stock with some weights, heard it a couple of times here now and for practicing it wouldn't be a big deal if it's a bit heavier..
I know that it will take lots of more rounds to become a proficient shooter, and I'm working on getting as many rounds through the rifle as I can afford, but my goal, and the reason for this post is that I would like to do it in a way that reduces the shot anticipation rather than just shooting...
I’m
I didn’t just buy a .308 because it was the first gun I’ve got my hands on, there was some thought behind it. Being fairly rural and not handloading, availability was a big thing for me. I also have GOS Tags available for everything from Black bear to muledeer and whitetails and even elk...
Up here in BC, ammo for smaller calibers is unfortunately not really cheaper at all! I pay about 45-50CAD for the cheapest .308 rounds and about 40-45 for a .222 Rem! And just coming into my third hunting season this year I really can’t justify to my wife to buy another gun either.
Would love...
Comes in around 7.5 lbs
The gun has a limbsaver pad and the pistol grip
definitely will check it out, thanks!
Ideal, but unfortunately not in the budget right now!
Backstory: I’m an adult onset hunter that was first exposed to guns at 25 when I moved to Canada, and was handed a .22 for shooting gophers, and I loved it. Fast forward a few months and I got to try out an old 30-06. I’ve never seen or heard this gun being shot, so naive me just held this old...
I was gonna suggest Simple living Alaska but you already listed it..
Northern Scavenger has some pretty epic Canoe trips in awesome Country!

Hey Folks!
I'm turning to you for your Advice again, this Time it's about a Rifle Scope..
I just decided to go with a tikka t3x in .308 as my first Hunting Rifle and am looking around for a Scope for it. A Friend of mine offered me a Bushnell Nitro 5-20 x 44 in good Shape for 300 Canadian...
Hey Folks!
I'm a new Hunter in the Market for his first Rifle, been reading and watching reviews for a while now. Caliberwise I'm pretty sure I'm going with a .308, since I'm in BC and can shoot pretty much anything except for brown bears.
But I have trouble deciding on a Rifle.. I don't have...
Still trying to figure it out, lots of podcasts, youtube and Books seem to give some kind of knowledge, but It still is a great big learning curve in my Opinion
