About a year ago I switched from a wrist strap index release (Carter Quickie + 2) to a handheld release (Stan Onnex). I now have fairly bad pain in my middle finger up through muscles/tendons in my mid forearm that seem directly related to the thumb release. My options seem to be

I don't think Mathews bows have improved substantially since v3x, and I don't plan to upgrade my 29" until they seem like they do. Dead, quiet, pretty fast, and tough.
I think I bought this in 2015 and I have done more fun stuff with it than I'll ever remember. I'm amazed how big I can go with 3300 ci. I didn't buy a 6900 till several years later. I want a new one but I don't think this one will ever die.
The skeleton handle Kestrel is unbelievably feather light, and broke down/ boned out this prairie mcnugget with ease. And the 60A blades snap in and out precisely. Definitely a kill kit mainstay for me from now on.
I don't know why I didn't look at the Kestrel scalpel knives until now. The lightweight one is lighter than the goat, less expensive, and superior in every way, including blade fit (blades don't seat well at all in the inaccurately machined goat I saw). The Ovis skinner is awesome as well...
My tripod tipped over with my sparrow- mounted 12x50s about 18" off the ground and the strap popped loose. However when I got home I was able to loosen the set screw, tighten the strap, and tighten the set screw again, and it appears to be fine now. But something to be aware of, this thing can...
Ah yes, the tried and true "two non-communicating owners, radio silent, taking payment but not fulfilling orders or responding to customer inquires, for a product with abundant alternatives" business model. In the time between when I ordered and you wrote this I actually knapped one from flint...
Hello Jay, I never heard anything and disputed the charge. No, definitely do not contact anyone on my behalf, many thanks, just replaced my broken havalon and moved on.
If you take an objective read back through the thread, you might come to a different conclusion. Or not.
In any case I became a little rokslider on this thread! Maybe if we all keep it up I'll make it to well known rokslider and I can jump on the next dog pile too.
In my experience you're often a voice of reason, and in a sense this is no exception. On the other hand, I feel like there's a pretty wide gulf between 'order on Amazon' and 'expect transparency and communication from companies'.
That's honestly pathetic you waited that long. You getting on here and defending a company for taking 4 months to deliver you something you paid for might be diagnosable Stockholm syndrome. But carry on.
Thanks, and agreed, I shuttered a small business and pursued a different career when I realized it wasn't compatible with the othe ways I wanted to spend my time.
