Wall Drug can be fun with the kids.
The badlands as a whole is one of my favorites places in the world. Custer state park is fantastic. Needles highway is really amzazing.
I’ve done a few M98s. The last one in 308. The cartridge size works great when done correctly. Parkler Hale did it for a long time too. So I wouldn’t worry about that too much with a good ‘smith.
The M98 action is awesome, very strong. Just a bit heavy. I’d stay with something that has the...
It seems as though you are not taking into account YOUR ears. They are not calibrated and may have already sustained damage at some point in their life time. Your ears ringing from one shot with an OG doesn’t mean that the properly measured DBA isn’t at what they claim it is.
Not trying to...
Dudddddeeeee, careful with what you do in MA. Putting a folding stock rifle under a jacket turns that previously legal weapon into a concealed carry situation which you DO NOT want to get into in MA. And I’m not even sure folding stocks are MA legal either. Take the time to figure out your...
I would work on my form before I put on a muzzle device. Unless I could have a suppressor, which you’ve already stated that you can’t. Consider it a training motivation/goal to find your best form with the least amount of muzzle jump. There will be some basic physics involved that will make...
I had been using a Lee press for about 25 years, I got a Forster when I ran into some issues with some hard to form brass. I haven’t used my lee since. The Forster is 100% with the $ in my opinion.
Yes, the cot has potential to be colder. But if you are using a stove for heat source than the hot/warm air will get under it and be comfortable. When I use a cot in the cold I also use a sleeping pad on it, it’s comfy and warm. I ‘d rather take the weight penalty and have a great nights sleep.
Does anyone know if there is a plan to have a model with a 1/2-28 thread? If they only have the 5/8-24 and you need to use an adaptor (because your barrel is 1/2-28) that adaptor will be way up inside the reflex. If it gets stuck there and threads off the barrel instead of the other way around...
Mac, I think you’re in VT, correct? I am too. Me and my pals have been having a heck of a time getting the toms to be vocal this year. No idea why. I’ve had several times where I’ve spotted some at 300ish yards away in the fields at one of my spots, called at them, they turn and come towards...
I’m using #9 TSS out of a factory turkey choke in my 12. I think it’s about .665 constriction, but can’t remember off the top of my head. Hammers them hard. I’ve taken birds out to 50 with it with no rodeo. Don’t over think it.
Good to know @Speaks! I can only report what I’ve read so far, including a case of a type 1 diabetic that was doing few/no-carbs and was having spikes until she stopped LMNT. As a person on carnivore who has been relying on LMNT, I thought it important to share what I found.
Yes @fwafwow...
I know this is a semi old thread…. I just found out that LMNT has maltodextrin (corn syrup) in its not listed ingredients and it will spike your blood sugar. And that’s the opposite of what you want on carnivore. They use it in their flavoring process so haven’t really been transparent about...
